Women's Program
Our Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs for women include assessment and individualized treatment planning, education, group therapy, psychological testing, and holistic wellness. Program components include weekly family group, random drug testing, and Aftercare services for up to one year.
The women’s program at Lasting Recovery provides a confidential, safe environment where you can address your alcohol and drug addiction along with issues specific to you: relationships, self care, parenting and communication. Treatment, facilitated by co-founder and Executive Director, and author of the book includes group discussions, educational materials, video and visual aids, and tools from Dr. Judy Saalinger’s book, FEARLESS CHANGE; Embrace the Choice to Reinvent Your Life.
Research and actual experience has shown that women's alcohol and drug use and dependency differs significantly from men in terms of their social and psychological characteristics. Women with alcohol and drug dependency tend to isolate and hide their alcohol and drugs. The secrecy and loneliness created by the denial of addiction creates emotional and relationship symptoms appearing as anxiety, low self esteem, and depression. These symptoms of the addiction are often misdiagnosed by family and healthcare professionals, which leads to more severe progression of this disease.
Our women’s outpatient alcohol and drug rehab will address the following life skills:
- Manage symptoms of depression and anxiety
- Personal empowerment and safety
- Overcome feelings of stigma and shame
- Learn tools for decision-making strategies
- Balance self-care and caretaking
- Establish and maintaining boundaries
- Identify and change negative relationship patterns
- Develop supportive connection with 12-step recovery program
