DOT SAP Alcohol & Drug Assessments
Lasting Recovery provides Department of Transportation (DOT) substance abuse professional (SAP) assessments. Transportation workers who have had a positive drug or alcohol test are required by law to have an alcohol and drug assessment by a certified substance abuse professional (SAP) as part of their return to work process. The SAP assessment specifies the education/treatment the worker must satisfactorily complete before the employer can begin the return to work process.

Early Intervention Program
There is a substantial body of research literature indicating that some substance abusers respond very positively to brief, focused treatment episodes. While not recommended in lieu of long-term treatment, this intervention is particularly useful for helping individuals and their loved ones to determine the nature and extent of a possible substance abuse problem and for developing a plan for change. The Lasting Recovery Early Intervention Program is designed to:
- Help families assess their individual situation as it relates to alcohol and drug use
- Empower young adults and their families with knowledge to make successful life choices
- Help determine the need for further treatment
- Explore the potential risks of continued drug and/or alcohol use
- Create a plan for change
