Addiction Treatment
Program
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
At Lasting Recovery, a San Diego Rehab Center for adults ages 18-65. We understand your dependence on alcohol and/or drugs in addition to the problems with relationships, work and stress.
We understand the overwhelming obsession with alcohol and/or drugs and your desire for help and hope. You will be relieved to know that you don't have to recover alone.
Assessment
Lasting Recovery’s Intensive Outpatient Program begins with a comprehensive assessment to individualize your addiction treatment, including:
* Drug and Alcohol Use * Psychological Assessment
* Family and Social Relationships * Lifestyle Issues
This thorough assessment will help us determine if you need detoxification prior to treatment, and allows us to develop a flexible, holistic individual treatment plan that best meets your needs for rehab. We have both a womens day program and a co-ed evening program.
Education
Lasting Recovery provides comprehensive drug and alcohol education groups at our private rehab center. Our rehab programs include the use of lecture, videotape, group discussion and homework assignments that provide you with a forum to process a variety of recovery issues. You will learn to increase your motivation and prevent relapse through curriculum that is based on current research and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). In these groups, you will learn how to overcome and heal the impact substance abuse has had on your brain and body, your emotions, your spirit, your relationships and your family.
Outpatient Rehab Group topics include all of these:
* Addiction * Recovery * Relapse Prevention
* Problem Solving Skills * Stress Management
Goals
* Interrupt the self-destructive pattern of alcohol and drug dependency
* Assess, address and begin to correct the harm to health and emotional well being
* Help you and, where appropriate, your families, understand chemical dependency
and relapse prevention skills
* Assist you to improve your relationship and communications skills
* Introduce you and, where appropriate, your families, to 12 step programs as a key
to maintaining recovery
Holistic Health
Research in substance abuse treatment shows it is important to address the physiological impact of excessive alcohol and drug use on one's ability to manager stress in recovery. A holistic approach to recovery helps you learn to heal the whole self - to relieve stress and live your life in balance with natural rhythms and cycles. Our carefully chosen holistic practitioners offer an introduction to acupuncture, yoga and meditation. We have found that alcohol rehab is more successful when stress reduction techniques are taught.
12-Step Facilitation
This program is an evidence-based protocol that DOUBLES your chance of long term sobriety and a lasting recovery. In addition to introducing a 12 Step Program philosophy into our rehab programs, we encourage you to take advantage of this unique individualized program in order to decrease your risk of relapse.
* Individual one-hour sessions to help you understand each of the 12 steps
* Background and support to help you integrate into community meetings
* Facilitated by a licensed clinician with long term personal recovery experience
Fearless Change
Based on Dr. Judy Saalinger’s book FEARLESS CHANGE-Embrace the Choice to Reinvent Your Life, these curriculum based groups help you and your family find hope and a new way of living. Throughout the changes necessitated by choosing recovery over active addiction, you learn to:
* Identify the basic needs of your personal recovery
* Make effective choices in high risk situations
* Manage life changes that occur with longer term sobriety
* Improve communication patterns with your family, work and relationships
These groups provide you with unique tools that make it easier to learn and develop relapse prevention strategies as you progress to long term recovery. FEARLESS CHANGE is currently part of the Day Treatment for Women.
