Do I need an Outpatient or Inpatient treatment program?
Outpatient treatment programs work best for men and women who have some structure in their lives (are married or are in a committed relationship or have supportive family members, and are working or going to school), and have not used chemicals or alcohol for 3-5 days.
We can help coordinate a referral for your detoxification, prior to admission, in a hospital or physician office setting, depending on the substance and amount used in the past 3-4 weeks.
Inpatient treatment, usually 30+ days is best when there is a severe disruption in the person’s ability to function physically including medical complications, or severe conflicts in the immediate family that actively sabotage treatment, or being unable to cope for even limited periods of time outside a structured 24 hour environment without supervision.
